Just Had Subepithelial Connective Tissue Grafts

Had the procedure done yesterday afternoon. Opted for conscious sedation after reading mixed stories about this procedure and other gum grafts. After "waking up" I had no pain at all. I had teeth # 3,5,and 12 done. Went home and was expecting "the other shoe" to drop after the local anesthetic wore off, and took a Vicodin just in case. Ate soup, and some breaded chicken tenders with no problems. Some blood in saliva for a few hours but nothing bad. Took Aleve day prior and day of surgery.

Slept like a baby, and woke up with zero pain- very surprising. One mistake was drinking lemonade last night- that hurt a bit. Donor inside right of palate feels like a pizza burn in texture only, does not hurt at all. Graft sites not sore either, but are a bit swollen.

I hope the early results are a good sign of the end outcome, but so far I am impressed by how painless the experience has been.
