I Had a Near Death Experience
I was pregnant with my first child and had been experiencing a headache for 3 days. I went in to the doctor on Friday who said I was fine. By Saturday I thought I was in labor. When I got there they hooked me up to a fetal monitor and I was told there was no heartbeat. By this time I was in so much pain all I could do was plead for a c-section. It turns out I had a placental abruption and was loosing blood quickly. They couldn't reach my doctor. I lost 8 pints of blood, and since I'm O negative they were getting extremely nervous. My parents were sitting in the waiting room when a nurse ran by saying they had a patient near death. I was the only patient. I made it through and do have another beautiful daughter, but I still wonder what if....
