Sleeping, Floating And Falling Real Hard

I was about ten years old. I went to bed and began to fall asleep for 15 minutes or so. Somehow while in sleep, I get the sense that I am floating. My body was still in contact with my bed. I could feel the mattress, but I have the sense of floating. Suddenly, I get a rushed feeling of falling real hard on my bed like I have been dropped one foot up. I woke up right away, and I thought to myself, "What in the world?!" This happened once more when I was young. I do not know if it is what people call an out-of-body, but this was one of the most strangest things I have ever experienced.

Haha, don't worry I have this experience many times and I learned that this is very normal. I also happen to know the cause of this. When we were aborigins people slept on trees and this feeling of falling woke them up to remind them that they could REALY fall.

That would be one heck of a jolt to wake you up! lol. I've never experienced that...pretty interesting. I think I'll look into it when I have some free time.
