Do You Have Acm?

After a car accident in 2002, I was found to have Arnold Chiari Malformation. It seems that the lack of knowledge in the neurological field on this disorder is widespread. I spiraled downhill for 2 years before I found the Chiari Institute in Long Island, N.Y. It was only with these neurologists that I finally had any of my issues addressed.

My symptoms included the obvious headache, vision problems, severe dizziness, just to name a few.

I found help with this institute and know that others will too.

I was diagnosed with Chiari today as well due to an MRI from a car accident. I am 51 years old and have had migraines since I was about 10 years old. I was wondering if anyone experiences dizziness from some loud noises. A high pitch noise makes me so dizzy and I haven't been able to get a doctor to understand this but maybe this Chiari diagnosis is the answer?

Hi everyone! I had the decompression surgery and a spinal fusion in January. The doctor said that I had the worst herniation he has seen in 25 years of being a chiari doctor. My symptoms were: nausea, difficulty breathing pressure in my eyes and neck, numbness all over my body and pain in my extremities. I wish everyone with chiari luck because I know how hard it is. In less than a year I found out that I had chiari, met a doctor in Long Island, and had a surgery that lasted 11 hours. Good luck everyone!

I just had decompression surgery because of this disorder. I was experienciing seizures, severe headaches, and nasuea. My surgeon told me that i had the biggest descended tonsil that she had ever seen( 5cm ) My brain was so tight against the skull that it was not pulsating at all. Hopefully this disorder doesnt come back in the future. Any Questions?
