I am also on arrhythmia meds (atenolol and digoxin ). I had a Myxoma removed and the surgery left some scar tissue which is probably the reason for the arrhythmia's. In my case I have many skipped beats, but I normally don't notice anything. Scar tissue can cause a disruption of the normal rhythm, but unless you can feel palpations or shortness of breath it usually isn't anything to worry about as long as you are on the recommended medication. Mechanical valves can cause clotting, and I would suspect you are also on some kind of blood thinning drug as well.
