Blood Clot

I had been running nonstop from the moment my feet hit the floor.  On my way home from a late class, I finally sat still long enough to realize that I was in major pain.  Like, off the charts pain...from a woman who has been known to say broken bones "hurt but not all that bad.  I can deal."

I was living with my folks at the time, but they were out of town.  I was going home to an empty house.

The pain was getting steadily worse, so I called Fey to ask her mom what to do.  I heard them conferring, then Fey came back.  "Can you get to the hospital on your own?"  Well, yes.  Did I want to...?  "Good.  I'll meet you there."  I had to take a cab, and it took forever.  Long story short, I beat Fey to the hospital, but not by much.

It's a good thing I went.

Turns out I had a blood clot in my left leg.  Hurt like a SOB...and the heparin shots were no fun either!

They kept me a few days and sent me home.  And THAT leads into a whole other story!
