Too Fast

My life has never been normal like the other kids, even though I didn't really see it when I was a kid. My dad owned a company, which he 'said' was selling alarm systems. But there were a lot of illegal things going on there. My mom and dad fought every day for several years, and it got really bad, so bad that one day my father was walking through the house with a gun (when there were two little girls of 4 and 6)... After all of this they divorced and my father abandoned me and my sister, which meant my mother had to work a lot more and I had to take care of my sister a lot. My father ended up in jail for a while because of drugs and that's the last I heard about him. All of this had a huge impact on my childhood and I'm still struggling with it sometimes.

The whole story has never been told to me, and I don't know if I dare to ask.

Me thinks that it is OK to let the past go. U R young enough to build a future for yourself. Just believe in yourself and trust in your higher power.
