What Matters

I've always liked small spaces, small cars and small apartments seem to have offered the most comfort. When I bought my house and had so much more room than seemed necessary, I was lost and seemed to be swallowed up in the ample space.

Now I've learned what comforts me and helps me feel secure and I no longer care what people think.

It's the small and comfortable rooms and love and caring and a real smile and a furry friend or two. And realizing that there will be gray days, even charcoal ones almost pitch with gloom but they will fade and the sun always shines again. It's the friends and family and warmth of past and current kindnesses that matter.

And there is always being true to yourself and self forgiveness when we're not.
