A Couple Summers Ago....

my dad was driving down an old side road here and being the nosey guy he is he was looking in the feilds and happened to see something black kind of "flopping".. Well of course he had to stop and check..to his horror he found seven puppies tied in a garbage bag...well making a long story short involving the police and my three kids....who quickly adopted all the pups and extreemly politely informed the police that whoever did this nasty thing should be tied dropped in a bag and thrown in a feild too...I Love my kids lol...a little p.s to our delight all puppies were adopted to good families and the kids still see a couple of them now

So glad your dad was driving down there right at that time...whoever did that should be tied in a garbage bag and dumped in a field. Why don't people at least take them to the pound - even that's more humane than being left to die/be eaten! And they're puppies - they have a very good chance at a pound. Our boy came from the local animal shelter and I sincerely believe that every day he is grateful. I love him like a son.

People can be so despicable. Good for you and the kids for helping. It breaks my heart to see beautiful dogs mistreated every day. I wish I could take them all!

I'm so glad you saved them! You must have such a kind heart. No innocent creature deserves to be treated so cruelly. Especially when humans thing they're superior to all other creatures. I love puppies and if I had a choice I would take in every one I saw! (Though I've never seen a stray puppy, and our house isn't the type for dogs.)

Thank you for sharing this story. I've worked in animal shelters since the 1980s and the sort of thing you describe is, unfortunately, all too common. It always gladdens my heart to hear about wonderful people such as your family who step in and prevent needless suffering and death for these innocent creatures. And it's wonderful to see three generations in the same family pitching in to help. Thank you all for your compassion and love. God bless you.

we've always had many animals around our home....my mom was a softie and i think i dragged more strays home than anyone lol and in turn my kids have done the same to me for years treating an animal decently should be a given sadly tho all too many people use and abuse as i'm sure you've seen over the hears

Fantastic!...

Happy ending to what could of been another sad story.

we were really lucky the pups were in good shape just a little malnourished so the kids played mommy for them bottle feedings for that many pups wasn't easy but i was really pleased.. I've got to say the best part was watching three young children telling the officer how to deal with the "mean person that would do this to babies.." he was quite offended that they suggested tying the person in the same bag and throwing him in the feild for a few days.....

i'm not sure if it was that or having three kids under the age of 11 so mad and shooting off threats to the meanies lol
