articularly in work, I have this need to show people that I can cope, that I am strong and don't need help. Through my illness I was as stubborn as hell when refusing the help and care of those around me- I get myself into a mess therefore I need to get myself out of it, I believe.
I take on too much, I say 'Yes' too often at work, not in an attempt to people please, but due to the nature of my job and due to the desire to allieviate others- I can't seem to pragmatically see the 'to do' list in my head when taking on other tasks, thinking that they will only take a few minutes as opposed to the few days they actually take.
Emotionally and innerly - I need to be vulnerable when I require help, it is the only state in which I can build up from. Hence it takes a great deal of trust before I would ask for help.

  | Posted Jul 11th, 2008 at 9:26PM i hear that. i am passive aggressive to my computer and some of the programs i have to use through out the day. the programs are always asking if i am ok, if i need the help menu, etc. i just glare and keep hitting th same combination of keys i have been hitting for the last hour and expect a different result.   |
 | Posted Feb 7th, 2009 at 6:44PM You know, if you would only understand that these situations are created to allow someone else to carry out the Creators' plan, then maybe you might let someone help. If they choose to try to make you feel guilty, DON"T. And - don't you feel guilty for letting someone or something else provide some assistance to you for a change. No one is perfect or we would all still be in Heaven. I ask if I really need to and we all really should do so. We all have to stop judging ourselves by someone elses' actions or reactions. We are all our brothers and sisters keepers so to speak. Giving is great but receiving is part of the pie, too. It keeps the necessary balance between giving and receiving on track. It also allows others to do good things. What if everyone said no to help??? It really would not be a good thing. When we allow people to do good things for us it "casts their bread upon the waters of Return" and allows the Laws of the Universe (Creator) to send back the deed seven times seven fold. (good or bad) It does the same for you, too! So don't be too proud, shy, or independent to accept the gifts of the Creator. Don't you pray, meditate, or wish for the good in the world to multiply? Help out by assisting the process ... please? Do not let what others think hinder this process or stunt you. Too many people do without when just the simple act of asking could take away so much of their burden/s. Ask and let the Creator decide my friends. Peace, Light and Much Love to You. |
