Plurals And Use Of Me And I

A pet peeve of mine is the misuse of how to express (or not expressing) a plural of something as well as the appropriate time to use either me or I.

For example, I was in a small market one time when I saw a sign on a table that had one pint containers of strawberries on it. The sign said 'strawberry'. I did not see one big strawberry there but the containers of strawberries.

I also don't like it when people say 'such and such and me did this' instead of saying I. The way to remember the right one to use is to think about what is correct to say if it were only you in the phrase such as 'I did this' instead.

we do not need to change the way people talk but upadate the grammar books to refect the actual parts of speech in use
