I'm With You Guys.

I really hate how much bad grammar people use on the internet these days. Just today, in person, I was talking to someone and grammar was brought up, and they said it was spelled like "gramer". And I think FaceBook is worst of all! I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. People that say things like: "omg jst hd a hambergur, LOL! leik mah statis" I really hate that, it makes me think that the schools aren't very strict about their students grammar. If they are bad at grammar, they might not become famous writers or anything that involves writing. Hell, I'm starting to think that in ten or so years, they will change the writing in books into "text talk" so they can "connect with the kids". Things are really going downhill.

I do love Face Book and regularly chat with my granddaughter on there but I do have poblems in understanding what she is saying - all her words are abbreviated and are put down phonetically (SP) and I do have to read her messages 2 or 3 times to get the hang of what she is saying - I just hope she doesn't write like this in her school books. She is just 12 and hope she will grow out of this stage..... fingers are crossed ...
