Drives Me Nuts

i don't worry about capitalization unless it is a formal paper for class. i cannot, however, stand misspellings, misuse of words, or obvious punctuation errors. i am an English major and it drives me crazy to see obvious mistakes, especially among colleagues. by the time you are a senior in college or in grad school, you should not be making the same grammar mistakes as a freshman or sophomore in college. you would not believe how many freshman mistakes i find in papers i proof-read and grade of grad students and super seniors. it is insane.

I just posted a question about this, and people lost their mind. Acted like I was wrong for wondering why people don't want to use proper grammar and punctuation. I guess I'm the bad guy.

no, you're not the bad guy. they are either ignorant or stupid. remember, one is the inability to learn, and the other refuses to learn.

At least you understand.

If I didn't at this point in my life and with the education I have, I would be stupid too.
