See For Yourself

It is impossible to be with someone for every moment of his or her life. We can only get a sense of them from what we see in the time they are with us; and even then, we cannot be entirely sure. Many people ask others what a certain person is like. Sometimes those others will talk about that person without being asked. And they are not always correct. The truth may be stretched. Assumptions may be made. Lies may be told. Reputations may be misplaced; and previous ones will be ruined. Words and thoughts are more powerful than some people realize. Before we decide what to make of someone, we must see them with our own eyes, speak to them, and listen to them. Still, there is something even the keenest observer may miss.
