I Hate Being Sick
Man is made to manufacture mucous
We have more mucous membranes
than we do thinking thought brains.
W make more mucous in a life time than we do anything else.
It is our one continuously replenishing natural resource.
And we throw it all away.
Imagine if there was a way to convert mucous into fuel.
We'd never have to buy oil from the middle east again.
I'd never have to work for a living.
And I wouldn't mind having a cold.
(Please don't call me on this and start quoting statistics
about membranes and brain cells. Or about other things
that our bodies produce more of. I know that all this is a
GROSS exaggeration. I wrote it when I had a miserable head cold
and was wondering how one small nose could produce so much STUFF.)
