Stop Crying!

Have you often wondered, as I have, how rediculous it was for parents to say after a spanking "Stop that crying right now or I'm gonna give you something to cry about". Would you be crying if they hadn't ALREADY given you something to cry about?

Mom always liked slapping us. She couldn't hit any harder than a fly, and all she did was make us angry. Now, Dad is a different story!LOL

When I was 4 years old I walked home from church school, which was across the street from my house, on a not-so-traveled semi rural road. My mother was furious and told me she was gonna belt me, which was often threatened, but never applied. I don't know what came over me, but I didn't cry. I refused to giver her the satisfaction. Instead I laughed and challenged her to hit me more. At first she did, and i stood firm and did not shed a tear, then she got real freaked out by the whole ordeal, stopped, and never threatened a belt to me again.

I always thought it was. My parents said it to me and my siblings, and even as a young child I thought "How stupid!"

really now is that not the stupiest thing

Now, Em, did you really get all that many spankings?

Are you kidding?? I started crying, or at least whimpering or pleading, BEFORE I got the spanking! :O lol
