I Hate Blood Tests

Its a Phobia Really!!!

My main fear of getting a blood test started when i was younger. I wasn't too bad until i had my 1st test.

I went the the doctor when I was about 8 or 9 thinking it wouldn't be that bad and that it would just nip a bit... until I seen the syringe. it was huge!!!! they said that they would need to fill it up to get accurate results and they never even fitted a belt thingy around my arm (my girlfriend knows what its called) when they stuck the needle in I felt really nauseous and thought I was going to be sick..

Since that day i have had a horrible phobia of needles. every time i need to get an injection i freak out! at one point i had to get 2 nurses to hold me still so i could get my Tuberculosis (TB) jag!!!

I wish i could cure my phobia, unfortunatly it goes along with my phobia of being stabbed!

Lol, I'm glad i'm not the only one who feels the same...

one of my workmates is diabetic, the other day she had to inject herself.... I had to look away, i couldn't even watch her doing it

I've been a Diabetic for almost 10 years now, and I have to have blood work done every 3 months,, ekkkks, and ya know what??? You NEVER get use to it,, I just close my eyes and think of something nice (helps only sometimes) but I will say,, if you get the right person to do it,, it's not bad. But,, I really DO understand your phobia,, yep,, you betcha!!!

your not the only 1, i really really hate them. its the pain factor that puts me off, i had to get 1 recently and my girlfriend had to hold my hand lol. she said i squeezed that hard i nearly broke it... oops!
