I Hate Cell Phones

I find it slightly amusing that there's only 7 people in this group :)

I'm in my 20's and I dont' have a cell phone and I have never had one. And surprise surprise- it's actually possible to LIVE WITHOUT A CELL PHONE!!!

I find the whole cell phone phenomenon quite strange at times- specially how people were able to actually LIVE WITHOUT CELL PHONES not that many years ago- and now cell phones have become this thing that a lot of people simply can't imagine life without.

Weird weird weird.

I'm not sure if i really HATE cell phones- but I do find it annoying how quite a few people feel the need to talk/text/whatever 24/7. They never turn their friggin phone off. It ****** me off greatly when I'm having lunch with a friend, we're in the middle of a conversation and woohoo my friends phone rings. So off s/he goes to answer the phone/write back...sigh. It happens to me almost every time I'm with my friends- and it's annoying and it ****** me off and I find it disrespectful as hell. I've tried to ask nicely whoever I'm with if they'd turn off their phone for a bit while they're with me- but sweet ******* hell, that is NOT something people want to be asked to do! I'm probably only finding it annoying though 'cause I'm not a cell phone-maniac myself! :)

Anyways, cell phones are not for me. If I should EVER become some sort of crazily busy-always-away-from-home business woman- then Yes, I'd most likely NEED a cell phone and I'd get one. Until then- no cell phone for me :)

Good on you I say, I find the same things annoying as you do. I go to the pub with friends and every 5mins their checking their phones just to see if someone's called or texted or left a Facebook message. It would be funny if not so annoying. I also get annoyed when people place their phone on the table - it's like they think its cool and are showing off. Grrrrrrrr. NO PHONE, NO FACEBOOK for me EVER.

I've recently got a smartphone, touch-screen, haven't a clue how to use it, think i need to go back to my crappy old Nokia, so easy to use, and sell this absolute bag of **** :-)

Cheer ! Am intrigued and wonder what would happen if i ditched my phone.I don't like them but i would have to change my life slightly. I some times turn it off for a few days and its one of the best feelings. Thanks for sharing, i my have do an EP on my phone...... soon!!
