Cleaning In Bursts

I'm rather OCD and a bit of a perfectionist, so even though I hate cleaning, when things get left for too long and the cleaning piles up, I end up not being able to take it anymore.  At that point, I usually end up going into a burst of 12 or more hours straight of cleaning, scrubbing, vacuuming, organizing, dusting, etc.  This is probably a bad thing, but it seems to be the only way I can work things out at the moment.  Trying to work on being able to clean a bit less much more often.  We'll see how it goes.

I function better when everything is clean qnd in its place its a control thing. Hate it if its not that way mad thing is i was brought up in chaos mess and in my world i dont want any of that so i am in control of that...But ideally who wants 2 have 2 clean up but if u clean as u go along its no longer a big cleaning chore is it? Unless yr a real lazy cow oops joke! I actually always feel blessed when i clean or do work not 2 say that when i rest/play i dont feel blessed .Suppose i always feel blessed COS I AM AN WE ALL ARE!!!!

I'm like that...I can never keep my flat clean for a long period of time. I'll go into cleaning spirts and then BANG! Into a depression I go! :-( That means I sleep most of the day, whine about everything - and let our flat go messy. Wish there was an even balance.

I hate cleaning but do it anyway as I hate living in a dirty house. I would rather someone else do the cleaning but I can't effort a maid.

this is exactly the same way i am too. i have a less common kind of ADHD that basically takes away motivation, so even dishes seem like a mountain climb to me. but once they are don im like "wow! that wasnt so bad! i will do that tomorrow!" and i dont lol

Yeah, we've been moving apartments the past few days, so it's been more like a 5 day burst so far. Really tired.
