I haven't been to the dentists for about three years. This hasn't been due to any real fear, but rather a lack of money.
But now that Rudd has promised us "Denticare" within the year (or whenever), I'm actually scared of visiting the dentist's chair; it's been that long since my last visit that there's probably a ton of work that needs to be done to my teeth.
At the moment I'm happy with my lack of funds, which keeps me in complete ignorance of my true dental health. Until I face that dark day on the dentist's chair, I can just kid myself and pretend that I have fantastic teeth.
