I Hate Emotional Cruelty

His Sick Need

...was to always make me feel inferior and unworthy of his...or anyone's love really. That he was doing me some great service to be with me, and that I was lucky he even bothered with me at all.  The thing is.....I did feel lucky to be with him...but I wanted...and needed...for him to feel that way too.  I guess it was too much to ask for.  Or was it?

      I've seen so much of this same story here...mine's the same. No, you are not expecting more than you should. Loving so hard and receiving cruelty and ridicule in return has got to be the worst sort of pain.
