Maybe I'm Just Boring

I hate facebook because I feel like every one is rubbing in my face how amazing their lives are. And mine, well mine just seems so damn boring. Every one has that "friend" that will post new travel pics every few months, or that friend that just got engaged, or is pregnant. Or! How about that one that just bought a brand new car... ahhh envy will be the death of me. Maybe. Hopefully not.

Anyways, that's why I hate facebook because my life just seems so much more boring and complicated than every one else's!

I was slightly envious of a Facebook friend – she always had posts about family vacations, her wonderful husband, her impossibly sunny outlook on life…and then I found out from a mutual friend that this girl’s life is in shambles. It’s all fake for Facebook! She hates her husband, so she cheats on him. She is borderline anorexic and addicted to painkillers. Her vacation photos were from when she took her kids to California because she was mad at her husband and wanted to ‘punish him’. Wow. Haha Facebook is such a waste of space!

The thing about facebook is people fake it too much. People walk around with their cameras taking pictures all day just to post it on Facebook. People go places and think, Ohh Im posting this on Facebook so everyone will think im cool. Ha.

I'm with you. I feel like I don't have that much to share and I'm not that interested in people manufacturing news about their lives ("Look, I got a latte - here's a picture").
I would never think to post all that kind of stuff, so that totally makes me boring too, in Facebook terms.
I am sure in real life you are far from boring, my dear.

yeah, totally agree. I have this friends who boast about getting a new phone, a new camera?go somewhere really cool for a vacation,have a cool,new,gorgeous boyfriend who loves her to bits and shower her with presents(of which she posts on fb as well). Everyone has something to post,everyone has a great life. It's only me stuck in this ugly body that i hate. Help me!

  *hugs* envy and jealousy are definitely things I should not be encouraging but we can't help it can we? I guess at some point we have to realize that it's just not our time yet. If you really need someone to talk to send me a pm and we can chat =). But the first step should be to stop saying such negative things about yourself (although, I do the same thing often).

you cant really share wat you feel on facebook, that's why i hate facebook too, you know those friends personally but wont even like ur post even you made a huge point! people on fb have crab mentalities, they hate to see ordinary people gain lots of status likes.

  It does suck, but that's part of life. Take it as a lesson. :) Persistence is a value, so keep failing, lol. If you want to be successful, you might as well want to double your failure rate ;) Life is beautiful.

  Nap? it must be awesome, ha. A good nap of 30 minutes might be equal to two hours of ''core sleep'' in the night. You'll sleep less later on. :)

same thing happened wit me too, I deleted fb because of that. People never used to comment even i wrote good status . some guys even used to avoid talking to me when they have more better friend than me but they used me whenever i need help. It made me cry a lot. But I am recovering. I am in love with God. I am so happy

  Don't let people get you down, I've notice (at least with my FB friends) that they only like to comment on stupid things any ways :P haha. I have a love hate relationship with FB, I've deleted my profile before too =)

Yes! I thought I was the only one. I'm not in a realtionship, I'm not pregnant, I'm not getting married, I haven't been on vacation in years, I did get a new car but I didn't post it on FB. I stay to myself and work that's all. My life is boring too and I do hate FB. I only check my FB every two weeks and that makes me depressed sometimes after signing off seeing what everyone else has. Everyone I know has something going on and me not so much. Oh Well.

  We are definitely in the same boat, I have a complete love hate relationship with FB. I basically only go on to sometimes, FB creep LOL and to post any "interesting" news I have. Not so much about my life anymore, but just interesting things online. =) I think we both need to work on just accepting what our lives are.. BORING! lol ;) (but hey, at least you got a new car!!)

I agree with where you are coming from. One reason for me personally, being an introvert by nature is that I don't particularly like going out and socialising, much prefer staying in recharging my batteries watching films, music etc. with one friend or on own so I've never got much I can tell people I've done at work on Monday.

  I'm the same way, being a single mother I don't get time to do much. I heard this saying.. "it's not about being interesting, it's about being interested that win people over" =) if you don't have stories to tell, just become really interested in what other people are saying. hehe =)
