I Hate It!!

I can't stand it because people add me when i don't know nothing about them. These are very young teenagers that request to be their friends.



I mainly use Facebook to keep in contact with my family and friends who moved away. I never use it for a popularity contest.



I have friend who braggs that he has 115 Facebook friends who he doesn't know anything about. I thought in Facebook you had to know the person before adding to your friend's list.



I don't like it because of privacy issue. People can see what you did 2 years ago! I have had relatives used old pictures of me in my younger days and post it without my consent.

I created an account around 6 months ago to search for long lost school friends but I just got bored after the initial 'How are you- what are you doing now?'. I never go on it now. My other half has an account, which he set up in order to keep an eye on his teenage kids but now he's getting sucked into the whole charade of it all. FB has got to be the work of the devil! One day everyone's all loved up and best friends, the next, they're ripping each other's hearts out- then they're pals again. Oh and don't get me started on that lethal mix of FB and alcohol late at night!

What ever happened to good old fashioned letter-writing?

It honestly has created a Void between people. Not too many people know how to effectively communicate with others anymore. I actually miss the times when people used to communicate through their house or pay phones. People were much more sociable and kept their dirty laundry to themselves.

I joined due to being urged by others.. but, I couldn't get into it.. seems so pointless. People will say "If you want to know what is going on with me, go to FB". Ridiculous. This is what communication has become? I've read that the more people are narcissistic, lonely or have a low-self esteem, for instance, the more they use it.



I had a discussion with someone, as I've been stating my views on it and they asked "Oh, so millions of people are wrong"? As if this justifies that it MUST be a great thing. I said "There is a lot people like that is not good for them". I just think it is lame and has caused a void between people really connecting with others.

I hear ya, there is this girl on there who particularly cannot go one day without talking about her boyfriend....she lives her whole life for him as if he is some kind of a god. It's SICK. I mean I think about mine everyday but he is not my top priority in life and I sure as hell do not think of him as a god. As much as I would love to delete facebook for good.....there are a few people who are far away and that is their only means of communicating with me. I wish there was a better and faster way. :-/ Alot of people on there are airheads and phonies. I miss the way people used to be. It's like if they are not using it as a means to show off they are using it as a diary. As soon as I straighten out my life and figure out where i stand with a few people I'm dumping it for good. It's not healthy.

i hate it too, i hate the drama and how people have to tell you everything they are doing that day, how you cant have a decent outing with your friends cause they are constantly on their phones checking and updating there facebook. come on!! i hate facebook with a passion.

I know!! How can people spend so much time on that site?!

i'm with you all the way! i joined when i started college, and it's really nothing but a huge drama zone, especially with the people at my school, lol. i try to limit the time i'm on there, as it just annoys me so much. every time i log on there, i come away wishing i hadn't!
