To Employers Who Don't Call Back...

There is a special place in Hell for you. I understand never hearing back after an initial application - you can't possibly get back to hundreds of applicants.

However, when you call me, interview me not once but twice, and then look me in the face and tell me I'll be hearing back from you, CONTACT ME! It's so rude to not follow through with so much as a canned, copy-paste email after telling me. Is that really too much?

Look, I get you're busy and don't have time to waste, but neither do us job seekers. We're trying to get our bills paid and survive. We live in a constant state of worry, anxiety, and vulnerability from being under everyone's microscope. By not calling back after you say you will, you are wasting our time because even if we keep job hunting, we spend emotional energy anticipating a call that never comes when we could have been using that energy for other opportunities.

Got that right.

Well said, I agree.
