I'm English and I was 11 years old when Bush became president. That was when I was just starting to really pay attention to the rest of the world so my impression of the US is largely based on what Bush has done. So as you can imagine I didn't have a very good impression of the US and I have to be honest here, I actually hated America for a while. Luckily I've grown up a bit more and realized that just because one man is a complete idiot doesn't mean the rest of the country (that elected him) is. Sorry, I'm sorry about that remark in the brackets but it is true most Americans must have voted for him otherwise he wouldn't be president! So you can see why I didn't like Americans.
But don't worry and don't yell at me! I don't think Americans are all like Bush any more. I've come to realize that most Americans are actually quite lovely (at least the ones I've spoken to have been) and that quite a few of them actually hate Bush more than I do! And I am so glad that they elected, what I think will be, a fantastic new president.
Good riddance Bush! I hope I never hear about you again unless it's to say that you're dying from a horribly slow and painful disease. You almost made me a US hater! That's right I'm blaming my misjudgment and ignorance on someone else ^ H ^.
I hope I didn't offend anyone. I tried not to. I love (most) of you weird, crazy and just downright amazing Americans! ^_~
