Bush, the "Authoritarian Voice"

Did Bush Say He Plans ‘Authoritarian’ Book on His Presidency? Jon Ponder | Mar. 18, 2009 http://www.pensitoreview.com/2009/03/18/did-bush-say-he-plans-authoritarian-book-on-his-presidency/

In its report on George Bush’s speech in Calgary, Canada, yesterday, the Associated Press write-up included this nugget:

Bush said that he doesn’t know what he will do in the long term but that he will write a book that will ask people to consider what they would do if they had to protect the United States as president.

He said it will be fun to write and that “it’s going to be (about) the 12 toughest decisions I had to make.”

“I’m going to put people in my place, so when the history of this administration is written at least there’s an authoritarian voice saying exactly what happened,” Bush said.

In its version of the quote, Republican-leaning Politico.com replaced “authoritarian” with “authoritative.”

It is quite possible, of course, that Bush mistakenly believes “authoritarian” and “authoritative” are synonymous.

Booga! Booga! They're interchangable!

Is it Faux News or Fox Noise? Can't decide.

Too much Faux News! LOL

Change is difficult here, as well, since half of the country doesn't see how ridiculous it is to compare Bush to Obama. In the area of intellect alone we can see how ridiculous the comparison is.

I assumed everyone here knew what we were talking about, and I'll point out that it was you who brought it up as just "the Global warming movement" and not "the anthropomorphic global warming movement" :)

lagenomai,

I've got more for you. Since you think Global warming is a myth and undoubtedly think there's a significant rift in the scientific community, I'd like you to watch the following and then tell me what you think:
The Department of "Homeland" Security, the "Patriot" Act, warrantless wiretaps and "terrorist" watch lists, GITMO and torture are much scarier than anything Obama has said.

Singer's fear is misdirected.

Last time I checked bush shared more of hitlers imperialism that obama....

The first person to compare their opponents to Hitler and the Nazis loses the argument.

If you were talking to me...Then....NO!!!! I was not joking....

The comment was real...Made by the man himself.....Stated that he wanted to instill community pride...

All I am saying is that..We need to keep watch....and remember history...So that he is not allowed to repeat it
That was hilarious. Oh wait, you weren't joking?

:(

Here he is talking about a Mandatory Youth Community Project....If they do not do it...No Graduation....
Some German guy had a mandatory youth Group....I think his name was Hitler....

Obama should tread lightly...And we should be on our toes....That is the way that Hitler almost destroyed a entire World...By the German people just wanting their Economy to get better at any means

Danger? Obama is just trying to mop up the mess left behind from the past 6 years!

Come on people...He is not the President now....Get on with the real danger...Obama

Hahaha! I hadn't thought of that V!

I'm dubious about this project. It requires him to count to 12.

Ba da Boom. Another good one! Thanks for the laugh!

Hehehe. Ba da Boom. That was funny.......
