I Thought It Was Just Me.

I really, really, hate having my picture taken.  And I work in a business where every time I turn around, someone's taking it.  I don't understand why you don't have the right to refuse this.

I've always hated having my picture taken.  When I was young, my father and others teased me about my appearance, and I am very conscious of the way I look.  That critical voice comes out every time, and it's like a verbal assault upon myself.

I wish people would respect the wishes of others who don't want this done. But they don't.

For some reason, this culture has become obsessed with taking pictures of everyone and everything, documenting every experience, posting their meals on Fbook, etc.  and it is just so much overkill. I'm sick of it. llg

Thanks for listening, and I'm glad you all are here.

I hear you! I don't like having my photo taken and it's really stressful when people don't respect my wishes. They go on and on about how I have to accept myself and blah, blah, blah. Why should I even have to explain or give a reason. I DO accept myself the way I am. I just don't like having my photo taken. I think it's my right as it's others right not to as well, if they don't like it.
