I Hate High Maintenance Girls
When I hear the term high maintenance, a girl who wears makeup and styles her hair is not who comes to mind.
My friend had a girlfriend who, no matter what he did, nothing was ever good enough. If he bought her flowers, they weren't the kind she liked; if he wanted to hang out with his friends, she guilt-tripped him until he stayed. I still can't figure out how she managed to get him wrapped so tightly around her finger (which, by the way, was not perfectly manicured). She went out of her way to disagree with him and dislike the things he enjoyed. There must have been some sadistic pleasure on her end in making his life miserable. I'm pretty sure she's borderline disassociative but she is most definitely high maintenance.
I love accessories, keep my nails painted, and can't turn down a fabulous bag but I am a go-with-the-flow kind of girl. I can rough it outside for weeks at a time just as easily as I can get decked out for a swank night out on the town.
High maintenance is a state of mind, not a state of dress.
