-You know that feeling, when you know you are good at something - and I mean really good? For all you know, you might be one of the best around. Heck, maybe the best!
And then somebody just waltz in, and in less then a second makes you look worse than a beginner? Ugh, makes me want to great that person with a proper courtesy of a good strangling, lol.

That's the ego talking. There's always space for improving :) But these moments can serve as lessons if you look at them from the right angle...

True, but bruised ego hurts... :)) Actually, you are a hundred percent right, but I can't avoid feeling a little bit bitter about it when I realize that I had hit my talent wall, and yet someone who is just "trying things out" can outdo me without too much of an effort.

It's only normal you should feel like that. I've been there myself and I know the sting :) Try changing perspectives, maybe there are some areas in the field you haven't explored. I think you'll discover you still have things to learn about your talent.
