I Hate Public Restrooms

I do my best to avoid public restrooms because when I walk into a women's restroom, because you know, I'm a girl, I get stared at.  I dress like a guy, yeah, and I'm a serious tomboy, but come on...It's very aggravating.  I understand that you look up and want to get a good look at me for whatever reason, but to continue to stare at me and KNOW that I see  you staring at me and wondering what I'm doing in there is....rude, at the very least.  People have actually seen me washing my hands at the sink when they walk in, stopped a few steps in--a dead stop, and they turn and walk out.  It ****** me off, and moreover, my co-workers and some friends don't believe that this happens.  I've gone through this for as long as I can remember, especially in elementary school because I had very short hair--a short afro I guess you'd call it.

Restrooms just emphasize it; it happens everywhere.  I've never asked one of these idiots what they're looking at.  I should...

OMG I've had that happen, too. I (and you too probably) try not to let it get to you because you KNOW people are like that, and there's not point in being upset about it. But, ultimately, it is irritating.
