Its Inevitable to Be Self-cons...

Its inevitable to be self-conscious about your body nowadays when there are set standards and requirements used to judge when someone is beautiful or handsome. As painful as it is, beautiful people get better lives than everyone else usually. Being ugly in the general public's eye leads to prejudice, stereotypes and an overall biased attitude towards you.

My body is nothing to be proud of, and though I'm exercising, doing kickboxing and have the leisure of being someone who can stay skinny after a fast food feast, I end up too skinny and I'm not attractive judging by my facial features anyway.

Think about it, it's harder to gain friends, respect and , ultimately, love if you're considered ugly. Can't blame me for hating my body.

I think it's tragic that society rewards people for their appearance. I recently read an article in the New York Times that talks about how women who wear make-up are seen as more capable professionally. If only we valued one another for our individuality and our accomplishments, rather than aesthetics alone!

The reality of this is so disheartening. You are either too skinny, too fat, too curvy, lack boobs, aren't pretty enough, insecure because you wear "too much makeup"... The honest to god truth is that you can't win.
