Doctor now ok.

I've been going to the same GP for thirteen years for depression. Psychiatrists and psychologists didn't help. I recently went to other GPs and by comparison she is like my best friend. In the end, I had to self-diagnose. It seems I have BPD  and all I can do is grow out it. Being over 40, I can finally let go of some of the issues that have had a stranglehold on my life. Still need those anti-depressants though.

At the risk of sounding trite, couldn't you change your GP? Though I don't have much to do with doctors if I can help it - the GP practice is a conveyor belt with a prescription at the end. <br />

It sounds positive that you're seeing someone who can help. :-)
