I Hate My Inlaws
Life has been nothing but peaceful since I threw those horrible people out of my life. I don't even know where to begin. My DH and I have been married for 26 years and his family can't get over it.
I noticed right away my in-laws always had negative comments and put downs toward my husband and then they started their comments on me and I kept quiet but then when my 5 kids came of a certain age they started in on them and that my friends is when I drew a line and it has been nothing but war. I speak up when they start in on my kids unlike my husbands sisters they let them say whatever they want to their kids even when their kids go away crying. My in-laws are functional alcoholics. My husband and his two sisters are adult children of alcoholics and will minimize the things their parents do and throw anyone under the bus just to get the negative attention off of them among many other things.
My in-laws also used to love to complain about how we had to many children. It was just to many people for them to deal with so I lightened their load.
