Learn how the few dominate the many in society and keep us wage slaves. Of course one of the easiest ways is to get us into debt. Go to themoneymasters.com and learn how banking and money really work. They don't teach you this in school and they surely don't talk about it on any of the corporate owned media outlets. Unfortunately, when they finally crash our economy and bring in Agenda 21, forcing us off our private land into sprawling cities, we will look at these days as "the good old days". You know, the days when we could actually own a car or go to a state park? Um did I mention these will be unaccessible to us under Agenda 21? Uh...yeah. And your apartment will be the size of a shoe box.

Totally feel you. It's so interesting how we get HOODWINKED in this idea that if you go to college, you're going to get a really great job that pays! I wish they had "Real World" prep classes in high school or college to help prepare us for life!

Hang on in there...the more experience you have, then you could even create your own business, OR you could move up in the company and try to make some changes up at the top! Just a thought! All the best to you!

I feel you. I think that it can be disheartening to feel as if you are underemployed. I don't believe that it is always necessary to use further higher education to recalibrate your career. But it is going to take a lot of effort and branching out. My last job was a job that was a contributing factor to high blood pressure and depression and weight gain. I had to branch out to my secondary employer ( I had two jobs) and thankfully, I was offered something that compensates more and that provides at least a retirement system that part of my paycheck is funneled into.

I dislike quite a few particulars of this job, but now I am in a place where I have more time and opportunity to recalibrate my career for good. Feel free to read my post and tell me what you think if you have time.

I got my bachelor's degree in 2006 and I make less now than I did in 1996 as an office person at a furniture store! I tried this year to get into graduate school to help my earning potential... oh but with the CA budget the universities cut spring admissions so now they get hundreds and hundreds of applicants for only 15 open spots in the fall. So my 4.0 gpa wasn't enough to get me in and a "little birdie" in the program hinted that they don't even look at applicants who have degrees older then a few years. Oh well. What a waste.

I am in the same situation and it sucks and this whole economy sucks right now. I can't afford to go back to school and the job I have sucks everytime I try to go for a job in a hospital that I am more then qualified for they hire morons who don't have any skills and pay them dearly but yet I work for a place that should be made for people like that .... go figure

Yea but the loans will only be forgiven after 120 on time payments. That is 10 years down the road. Now i have a new job that pays a little better and I actually feel like Im making a difference but I have no health insurance benefits because they are way too expensive! This is a no win situation!! What now?!

if you can hang in there, at least its a job, if you do well down the road they will move you up. In MI only 1 out of 5 college grads are finding work. have you hear Obama is going to relax some of the school loan payback? its cool maybe you can look it up I don't remember details.

OMG, this is totally my life's story. I was a teacher for 3 years, and the money was okay, but ever since I quit last year, I've been working at this stupid, stupid, stupid job making less money than I've made since I was 18. I can't afford health care at my stupid, stupid, stupid job (where my boss is constantly telling me that I shouldn't think about what time I'm going home because I'm "salaried" at $12 an hour - bite me, *****!), and I can't afford to go back to school, either.

    Aargh!

$12.00 per hour, I make $8 per hour at a part time dishwashing job. I was in business that lasted 14 years, and tried other fields that didn't offer much. I am now taking one class at a time (all i can afford) in computer science.

Whenever my son and I play the game "life" he always opts for the college education and I don't , and we both end up retiring as neighbors.
