Forgot to mention this!!! When I moved in, I signed a 'no decorating agreement'. I thought that was quite reasonable, and was happy to adhere to it. During my fire sensor incident, the landlord noticed a small piece of 'white tack' on my ceiling - I had forgotten to take it off after Christmas decorations came down. I told him this, now I'm told that he wants to keep my £500 bond because I broke the 'no decorating agreement'!!!!!!!! This apparently (in his mind) also means that I can't put Christmas decorations up, even though it left no mark, or trace it had ever been there!!! This is still ongoing, will post updates when I get them..........
