She's completely selfish, irresponsible, and neglectful. She used to beat my girlfriend and constantly swears at her and her siblings. She is an alcoholic with absolutely no regard for anyone but herself. She makes my girlfriend come home just so she can make her do things, never because she actually wants to see her. She is constantly critical and gets jealous and paranoid of everyone. As awful as it may be, I sometimes wish she would just die.

That last part kinda scares me, but I can see where you come from.
In you position I'd try to help her change her ways, but if she doesn't listen or even attempt to, at least i tried. And that's that.

How to move forward, you mention you have to wait for for the age time frame for them to move out. So when would that be do you think? I know you are in a tough spot, you are really not alone in this....Ugh..

How do you plan on facilitating that? What plan would you put in place to get this in motion? We are worried -- help us out to understand more.

xx, who are we talking about here? The MIL or the girlfriend? I assume that you are the boyfriend, and if the mother is beating up this person you know, why are you not calling the police??????

  All I can do is try to get them out of there. They're all almost old enough to move out anyway, so there's no sense in causing a scene, but i just wish she would disappear.
