I Hate Racism and Discrimination
I know I am capable of doing anything I set my mind to but some people, mostly men, treat me like I am just some fragile little girl that can't get her hands dirty.
Racism also drives me nuts. What is the problem with having dark skin? Being black, brown or yellow doesn't automatically make them bad people, they're just people. I'm willing to bet that there are just as many bad white people as any other race.
My ex-husband is a racist. I didn't know until after we were married and if someone were to ask him he would say he wasn't. He would always make comments anytime we would see an interracial couple. He would say " That's just gross" or "Can't they find someone their own color?"
I often wonder what he would do if he knew that in my senior year of high school I dated a Puerto Rican who had skin so dark he looked black.
