Why Can't People Say "excuse Me" Anymore??

I'm so tired of being pushed to the side. Accidentally or purposely, by people who are trying to pass by me. Even I, who am a painfully shy person with an extremely low tone of voice, manage to at least say "excuse me" to people who are in my way... I don't mean to generalize, but it's usually middle-aged women who do this to me. It's as if them being older than me gives them the right to step all over me. Well, I've had it, and I'm tired of it. Today, I was paying some things at the counter when this woman just pushes her way right behind me. She didn't even bother to say anything right after she pushed me. I'm pretty sure it wasn't that I didn't hear her because she was talking quite loud;y to her daughter who was right behind her. Well, right after this happened I loudly said to my boyfriend "an excuse me would have been nice". I'm pretty sure she heard me. If I had any doubt, the fact that she and her daughter were staring at me when I passed by her again probably confirmed it. And I'm glad. Maybe next time she'll learn to have some manners.

Woah. Thug.

Well kudos to you for doing that! I'm also shy and no one can really hear the words coming out of my mouth but I have my manners. There's so many rude people who just push and shove and don't even say anything like nothing even happened.
