Hate the Process But Perfectionist!

Yes, shaving my legs and other parts of my body are not something I live to do; however, I can't stand the thought of hairy legs, under the arms, etc. I love the feeling of soft legs. I assume my husband appreciates it too -- but he never says anything.

Because it grows so fast, I actually shave 2x a day..............in the morning during shower time and at night during a bath. I believe I've perfected it to an art because my skin is so sensitive. Since I shave everything -- and don't like shaving bumps, rashes, etc. --, I've done the research to try and perfect the system.

If this helps, here are some things that I've learned along the way:

* Invest in a nice razor. Cheap razors will tear you apart and you might bleed to death! Besides, band-aids all over your legs aren't exactly sexy, are they? I like the Venus brands. Also, trade often. I never use the same razor for longer than a month, at max.

* Use good shaving gel for women. Plain soap or shower gel seems to cause more bumps on my sensitive skin. I prefer Aveeno sensitive care for legs and underarms. Around the knees, the secret seems to be to take it slow......real slow. I honestly haven't cut myself in years.

* For bikini area, buy a bikini razor. I prefer the Noxema brand. Regular razors are just too large and can really hurt a very sensitive area! Ouch! Here's another area to not get in a hurry over...............way too sensitive skin, obviously. Also, I use a special bikini shave gel, sensitive formula, of course, to shave only the bikini area. It's Bikini Zone bikini area shave gel. Worth every cent. Prevents shaving bumps and rashes.

* And as one final precaution against shaving bumps and rashes in the most sensitive bikini area, I rub in a powder in the whole bikini area after shaving. It's Monistat's Soothing Care sensitive care powder.

On a final note, I don't have ownership in any of these products, nor do I own stock in any of them. (Although God knows that these days stock in anything is worthless! lol) I just believe if you have to do something -- i.e. shaving................find the best way of doing it --!

The interesting thing is I started shaving my entire bikini and below area thanks to the advice I read here on EP. I read where men said they liked that, so I started hoping my husband would become more interested in me if I did. It didn't work, but I've continued the habit. Now, I can worry any sort of bikini, regardless of how skimpy, and there's no bumps or rashes from shaving.........and certainly no risk of hair popping out where it shouldn't be! ha!

I've become so used to having soft legs all of the time that I don't know what I'd do without it! No, it's not the thrill of my life but it's a necessary evil.

Razor away toward a rashless future.

Take care,

btw

Dear WG,

Oh, wow, how funny! And to think, I had to get used to my 10-year-old son announcing my "age" each year of school! (I'm considered an older mom; he was born when I was 34.) I remember dropping him off at day school among a lot of "kids" who looked like I was old enough to be their mother! lol

Thank God I never have had to worry about my kids knowing that I'm "hairless." I'm not the modest type around other women (in college, I lived with 110 girls so that experience pushed any conservative nature out of me and anyone else! lol).

But, around my kids, my beliefs are quite different. I don't mind having my kids see me in panties/bra provided it's a conservative style! ha! (Logic: that's the same as a bikini!) But, anything else, is off limits. I'm especially "weird" about my husband running around in his boxers in front of our teen daughter.

This could be a cultural thing. Now, if I lived where you were, and Keith Urban were at the beach, I could easily become nude......................lol!

Take care,
Sad

Dear TWB,
Hairless legs aren't all that great if it means that many of they are in-grown. Still, it does save time and effort!

Yes, looking forward to a session or two with Roj. Just have to come up with a convincing stories to tell the kids (we are very comfortable about nudity in our family) - I'm sure there will be 3 pairs of wide eyes when they see me hairless for the first time. I can just imagine the stories that my innocent 10 year old boy will tell his friend's at school - "you'll never guess what my mum has done!" LOL.

Dear Wilderness,

No, I'm not that OCD! I don't shave the pubic area twice a day; only in the mornings.

You are sooooooo lucky. What I wouldn't give for your hairless legs! I believe I'm part ape........hence, the need for constant care!

As for "someone else doing it" .............I believe there's a man in your life........perhaps Roj..............who could possibly be influenced to do this? What man wouldn't love that? Talk about the ultimate in foreplay?

I'd cook his favorite breakfast and then ask for a little favor................while you're nude and have him rub the shaving cream all over your legs...........including your pubic area? You'll have him eating out of the palm of your hands..............and you'll feel great!

Men are meant to be managed................ha! So, start managing.............lol.............your shaving jobs!

Lucky you! Sorry for me.

Trapped.

Trappedwithoutbars, you are right about soft silky legs. Roj definitely has a thing about them - luckily for me I have naturally hairless legs! As for pubic hair - don't tell me you shave yourself twice a day down there! Still I wouldn't mind if I had someone else to do it for me!

I couldn't agree with you more! lol A woman's soft, silky legs rubbing up against a man...........should (I say should for personal reasons) get a man every time! ha!

I keep mine soft and silky because............uh, well........so the razor companies and shave gel companies won't need fed govt's bailouts? lol (Heck, I guess I just like the way that feels although it doesn't do one bit to turn me on!

Thanks for your input. May you enjoy many more shaved and silky legs to come....................
