I May Not Be A Smart Mayun... But I Know What Stupid Is...

I was heading to a review of the book Silver John a story about a wandering guitar player who has several misadventures sometimes in scooby doo fashion and well... the book isn't tremendously special but I did like the retelling of some of the old characters in pioneer mythology... The Haints, the raven mocker, the behinder, the flat, the taily-po etc.

The reviewer made the statement; In a world where so many southerners are and have been anti intellectuals, It is refreshing to see a southerner who is in fact an intellectual. And a decent story of the south which other than O' Brother where art thou is such a boring and dry place...................
To you I present The Dumbass Award.

Every bit of your drivel comes from an eternal flame of idea... that hateful thing that is idea which never wholly dies... despite however much we desire it too... some ideas will always be here... for better or worse...

But this idea comes from the like of H.L. Mencken a man who gained his notoriety by attacking the south with claims that they fail to produce a single thing to add to American Culture... Normally I would hope this coming to light would end your ignorance but alas... it won't if you are even reading this I would be glad... but the root of ignorance is to ignore information that could be obtained or rather willful stupidity so...
