I Hate Twilight
This whole series of vampire books was clearly written by a sexual prude, and as a prude the author had to impose her own sense of morality to the whole thing. I mean, sure it's a nice idea that one dowdy looking girl could attract two handsome guys and they would fight over her for their right to court her, but this is only in a teen's wildest dreams, even they do not expect it to take place in reality. Bella herself is not a lovable or even appealing girl to begin with, even from the moment you meet her in Twilight. Edward you would expect would court a higher class of woman whose intellect would be more rounded than this girl's, and Jacob would have more than likely only dated within his own tribe on the reservation, because they understood about the tribe's supernatural little secret better than this girl ever could. No, at best, I could see Bella with that geeky Mike guy, or she would become one of those spinsterish crazy cat ladies in her old age. The plot is alright, the romance saccharine at best, but you could hardly buy into it, it felt like pure escapism instead of transporting you to another world the way the majority of well-written books do. So all in all, the only thing the Twilight series is good for is paper to line your cat's litter box with.
