. . Yet I Love Tarantino & Scorsese Movies. .

if someone raises their voice, i will leave the room. i have never been in a fight or hit anyone (other than a sibling, which doesn't count cos its never hard ;) and i have never been in a social situation where one of my friends got into a fight. i know, that sounds crazy, but i just avoid violence and people with that testy edge in them. (totally grew up in a chaotic sometimes violent home) yet among my favorite movies are Death Proof , Kill Bill 2 and the Departed. and when i watch them, i either fast forward or wait in anticipation for the fight scenes. it's usually cos tarantino has this rad way of writing stories where females get to take hardcore vengance on people who eff with them. i guess i love it because i know i could never do that, let alone put myself in a situation where i would have to. (i'd like to say being against violence is entirely about human rights, and to an extent of course it is .. but also, i am a conflict avoider. .  )

and i get satisfaction from watching justice get served violently in fiction. i hardly ever get angry at people though. i get very caught up if i see something wrong happening in say, an organization or system, and speak up at every opportunity, but i would never personally confront someone with personal anger and that might be a problem. on the same note, my younger sibs always come to me with problems they feel guilty or ashamed about because they know i'll find a way to empathize with them but also speak bluntly about their wrong doing (and mine!). but, yea, anger, i have a block.

OMG everything you just said is exactly how I feel!!!!!! When I was little the only emotion I ever got out of my mom was anger. She was never ever physically violent, but she yelled at me so much that I can't even tolerate anger in other people. She taught me to be a conflict avoider, because if I just said nothing I could just tune out the yelling, and she would have nothing to respond to and feed off of. I have a great sensor for that testy edge. Sometimes I genuinely like a person, but I can't be around them because I perceive that edge, even if they don't express it often. And I'm just like you with the Tarantino stuff too!!!! Omg I love Django unchained and pulp fiction!! Also I'm addicted to shows like CSI, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Lie to Me, and most recently, Dexter. It's so nice to know that someone else feels the same way!

I understand your point of view. I completely detest violence in real life situations, but I admire the artistry of it in fictional situations : <a href="http://www.experienceproject.com/stories/Like-Quentin-Tarantino-Films/3203949" target="ep_blank">EP Link</a>
