hate the sight of wasps, im not allergic but im terrified when i see wasp coming my way, i usually end up running in the opposite direcion with my arms around my head!

  | Posted Sep 24th, 2008 at 12:54PM Wasps can be bothersome, but they don't worry me. A woman I know, howevever, is violently allergic to bee stings. In the Summer, she has to carry an adrenaline injector pen at all times, because were she to be stung, she'd go rapidly into anaphylactic shock! The creature that gives me the horrors is the snake. I've never encountered one in the wild, but I can't even look at them on TV without going cold from head to foot! +2 nods   |

| Posted Sep 29th, 2008 at 8:04AM Donahl. I can't ever imagine holding a snake! The very thought gives me shivers! I did have a pet tarantula, though. She was gorgeous - even though my daughter-in-law wouldn't enter our living room unless I draped a cloth over my spider's tank! My lovely tarantula, Charlotte, did bite me once. It hurt, but I still loved her. Wasn't her fault that I invaded her territory while she was eating. Gave the ED staff at the local hospital something unusual to deal with when I presented with a hand looking like a small football and told them I'd been bitten by a tarantula! Until I had Charlotte, I was terrified of spiders. When she died, I wept buckets. Do you think I could cease to be afraid of snakes were I to acquaint myself with them in the way I became acquainted with Charlotte.....? |
