Mainly Coz I'm Jealous

There is me standing in flat, sensible, smart shoes and a black suit. That is all I can say about my outfit. Its drab, sensible and boring.
All around me are women in beautiul dresses, such variety of cut, length, colour, material, shape, frills, paterns, lacy bits, the choice is endless, and I haven't started on the shoes, hair do's and hats. They all look fabulous and destinctively different, and I'm in a black suit.
Even worse is when you hear the women in these wonderfull outfits complaining about it, I'd swap in a heartbeat.

And<br />
"I don't have the confidence"<br />
You can get up on stage, in skin tight clothing, in front of an audience of people who have paid to see you, yet somehow a dress in a room full of friends and family is more scary.

And<br />
"I wish I were that daring to dress that way"<br />
I would bet my own hard earned money (and I don't do that often) that if you were in a dress at a wedding, most of the women in the room would be jealous of your figure and the poise and elegance that practicing ballet gives you.

I'm often amazed at the people I meet here on e.p. You have just been added to the list.<br />
"Being a ballet dancer I can't stand heels at all! Plus all that girly frou frou stuff going on."<br />
Maybe I'm wrong, but surely ballet is about as girly frou frou as it gets?

I agree. I'm like you. I dislike makeup or ouch (heels). Being a ballet dancer, I can't stand heels at all! Plus all that girly frou frou stuff going on. I feel left out. Might I add, inside I wish I were that daring to dress that way yet I don't have the confidence to.
