Hate It

My mother is good at doing this to me.

I am aware of every single mistake I have ever made in my entire life, and I do my best never to repeat them. I do NOT need someone constantly reminding me of them- I do that enough to myself.

I married a girl like dear old dad(!), and got to extend my good reminders of my mistakes for years.
I hope you have the option of getting away from her when she gets like that, and the good news is that older people don't have as much energy, so sooner or later, she'll run out of breath. If you are not already there, I hope you get to the point soon where you can face her down when you tell her you aren't interested in that kind of treatment anymore. Those are great moments, let me tell you.
Just figure out a way to redirect your own thoughts away from such reminders. Knowing your own mistakes and limitations is fine as long as you can use the information analytically to change yourself into something better. Don't beat yourself up.
See, ya, Alana.
