Different Kind Of Love

I have two best friends. The first is Jenny, who I've known since infant school but I only really got to know in High School as we got put in the same class. Jenny is the best friend I could wish for- she's always there for me, is kind, caring and very very funny. We don't even have to speak to eachother, one sideways glance in a certain situation can set us off on a major laughing fit! I never feel uncomfortable around Jenny and we never run out of things to talk about. I hope we are friends forever even though we have different dreams- me to become a vet and Jenny to become a doctor. I definately love Jenny as a best friend.

The second is Alex who I've been speaking to for a while but only met this year. First I saw him at a concert (he's a singer), then stayed with him at a vet holiday for 4 days and now I work with him. He's also in the year above me in the boy's school attached to mine. Alex is very clever and he always looks out for you and makes sure you are ok. Whilst I was speaking to him on the internet, I knew that I liked his personality but wasn't sure if I was physically attracted to him. Then, when I saw him for the first time singing a love song, I knew that I had a big crush on him ;) Obviously this is a different kind of love than Jenny's but I also feel like he's my best friend. Do you think that if it turns out that he hasn't got feelings for me, that our friendship can survive?
