Hypoxic Brain Injury

On August 10th, 2011, I drank about 16 ounces of antifreeze and took nearly 300 anti anxiety pills. I was found 12 hours later, and taken to the hospital where I was in a coma, on life support and dialysis for a week and a half. While I was in a coma I had a grand mal seizure and a stroke and when I woke up I couldnt walk, talk, feed myself, had lost my motor skills and got a hypoxic brain injury.

My memory is so bad I lose myself in the middle of a sentence, forget everything and cant concentrate. I went to therapy for 3 months and got a little better but I am still disabled. And it was all due to a bad day that lead to a horribly failed suicide attempt. We dont think about the consequences of our actions due to impulsivity.

I hope to go back to school and hope my brain injury and the damage it caused gets better. Im 26 and basically a child again, I have to win my disability hearing and then start all over again. I feel for those with brain injuries and I wish you all the best.

Takecare ..Everyone has disability but some disable people are more show up then other.

Always here for you........ BPD sucks like ****, most of us seem genuinely lovely people. The fear of failing is the only thing that stops me jumping of clifton suspension bridge, bristol, uk. Hugs

I completely agree with you!

Awww:,( if you had succeeded, I would be very sad:,(

Sometimes I am glad and thankful I made it, too.

You should be happy about it all the time:) you are a wonderful person:)
