i
have a sphynx (hairless) cat. she's dark gray. she only has one eye (the left one). her whole litter got eye infections when they were babies and all suffered various degrees of damage. she had to have her right eye removed. which is why we were able to afford her (free, since she's not "show quality", rather than the $1600 or so they usually cost). she's truly one of the best things that's ever happened to me. my husband and i love her so much. to touch she feels like a warm peach or a horse's nose.
but this is about how she plays fetch. she loves to play, especially with my husband. she's a daddy's girl. mommy is mainly for cuddling, daddy for everything else. she likes to play with the rings that come off of gallons of milk, hair thingies that she steals from me, my crochet yarn, pieces of plastic and other garbage, as well as occasionally the toys that we buy for her. she brings the toy that she wants to play with and drops it at my husband's feet and meows at him to throw it. if he isn't swift on the uptake, she'll pick it up again in her mouth and jump onto his lap to make good and sure he sees. then he throws it across the room, she slides like crazy across the hardwood floor, attempts to find the ob

  | Posted Oct 23rd, 2007 at 3:04PM That is so cute! When I took my carpet up my little black kitten thought she was Tom Cruise in "Risky Business" sliding around. She loves milk carton rings too, Q-Tips, dental floss, bottle caps and just anything except "toys" made especially for cats which include catnip.   |

| Posted Oct 23rd, 2007 at 7:37PM don't know exactly what you mean by fiesty, she definitely has a personality. sphynxes are often described as being more like dogs or monkeys than your traditional cat. she's very vocal. she has different meows for "i'd like some of that food", "throw my toy", "i'm stuck somewhere", "where are you?", "daddy there's a bug and i need you to kill it", etc. she's also very smart. yesterday it was confirmed that she has figured out how to open our entertainment center so that she can sit next to our ps3, which warms her nakedness. i'm pretty sure she actually knows how to operate all our appliances, and is probably surfing the internet and watching tv while we're at work. |
| Posted Oct 23rd, 2007 at 7:38PM lol, and she has a meow for "i can hear a helicopter outside". helicopters freak her out for some reason. i think she thinks they're giant bugs...? |
| Posted Oct 23rd, 2007 at 7:51PM That's so funny! I love vocal cats. One of mine is a yowler. I love when she finds bug or sees squirrels outside: she chatters incessantly. You should post a picture of her, caught sleeping on the ps3! That would be adorable. |
