She's Gone

I had to take my cat to the vet today to have her put down. It's probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make.

She's been sick for a couple months now, but she didn't seem to be suffering. Last night she threw up a few times, and then kept meowing at me. I gave her a quarter of a gravol, and she seemed to calm down a bit.

When I got up this morning for work, I couldn't wake her up. She didn't want to move at all. I finally managed to get her downstairs, but when she walked, she looked like her feet had fallen asleep, and she couldn't keep her balance.

The vet said he thought it was probably a stroke. I can't help but wonder if it had something to do with the gravol.

I feel like such a bad parent. At the end she just kept hissing and growling at me. That's the last memory I'll have of her.

I appreciate that story, how sad is it in your story. but never looses hope might your cat back someday or you will find another one cat that truly love and never leave you in sick and health, in life and death.

I am sp sorry for your loss. Whenever I have to euthanise on of my darlings, I feel such a traitor, but I know it is best. You don't want your loved ones to suffer. *Hugs*
