I Have a Cat
I have two cats which are both boys. One is a burmese cross siamese, he is a tonkinese. I got him when I was working at the pet shop as an animal attendant. The shop I worked at did not kill animals if they were not sold. If they werent sold we would try to give them the best home there until they were to old which was around 4-6 months, then we would either drop the price extremely or the owners of our shop would take care of them till we found an owner. When I got my cat he was 4 months old, he was already vaccinated and I knew because I took care of him that he was completely wormed flea'd and fed well. I named him "Furgus" but it somehow turned into "Fungus..?" which is a terrible name for a cat, I know, but unfortunately it stuck. I guess his green eyes had something to do with it?? I have no idea really. But Fungus isnt that bad, when I think of Fungus I dont think of foot fungus or mold or something else gross, I instantly think of my adorable cat..that or Mushroom or just bacteria. And all bacteria isnt disgusting really.
My other cats name is Pumpkin, I got him from my Ex's pet shop, Where I helped get my Ex partner the job there as animal attendant. There pet shop is horrible. The owners dont have much money and sell their kittens way to young. When I got pumpkin whom is a Ginger Domestic Long Hair, he was bloated with worms, covered in fleas and terrified of humans. His mother was a stray with little human contact and the vaccinations weren't carried out correctly nor was the form filled out consistently. Because "Fungus/Fergus" is a year older and their both boys I didnt think they would get along. But within the first day they became very close. They are both desexed which I think helped, and "Fungus/Fergus" taught pumpkin to groom himself, be affectionate and to not be afraid of humans.
Recently they both escaped through my window, they knocked down the fly screen and got out at night, Pumpkin came back in the morning but Fungus/Fergus didnt. They normally stay together and never leave each others side, and normally they never go out side. Fungus/Fergus was missing for 4 Days, we put signs up and everything. Contacted vets and animal shelters. Walked around calling out Fungus...which at that point you start to regret naming your cat something so ridiculous. Then finally he came home, with a few scratches which were fixed up by the vet and he was completely saturated. He slept for so long!!! and every few minutes he would wake up meowing in distress and he'd sit up as if he was confused as to where he was. I had to pat him and cuddle him more so he would calm down and go back to sleep and just rest.
I sometimes wish animals could talk so I could find out where he went and what happened..... All i know is he is so scared of plastic bags now.. and I live in a rural area where a lot of people shot cats for hunting...or just fun... He isnt scared of dogs though, not even after whatever happened to him...a while ago he scared off a ridge back out the front of our house, the dog was sweet and lost. But as soon as Fergus saw him he bolted out the door before I could grab him and scared the dog away. He is a fearless but lucky cat that the dog didnt attack him!!!
Thats about it...
